Days of Noah

This morning Ken Ham of Answers in Genesis blogged about the new “Noah” movie coming out in March starring Russell Crowe.  Apparently various sources, including people who have seen the rough cut version of the film, state that it is not at all faithful to the biblical account of Noah and the flood, and is quite shockingly unbiblical.  You can read the blog post HERE in its entirety.

According to Ken Ham, the movie twists and distorts the story of Noah.  He actually gives a list of examples of just how much the writers and producers changed the actual story.  It is an obvious attempt to discount another biblical account.

My personal take on it, providing the actual movie keeps even some of the heretical story lines that have been added, is that not only is it an effort to discount the Bible and the story of Noah by casting him into an unfavorable light, but that it is also a concerted effort to marginalize the times we are living in.

We ARE living in the last days.  There’s no need to go through a list of the raw horrors and abominations that are being committed on such extreme levels to underscore this fact.  One only has to turn on the television or surf the internet to see how blatantly and rampantly evil the world has become.

Satan knows his time is short…and it’s getting shorter with every second that passes.  He has launched into full out war on the remnant of God.  He’s ratcheted up the level of hate against Christians in many Muslims nations around the world so that they are being persecuted, tortured and killed on a daily basis.  In the west and many other non-Muslim nations, he has pulled out all the stops in eroding the moral foundations of society as a whole.  The “church” has become an ineffectual laughingstock because they are filled with as much sin as the rest of the world.  But true Christians have become the target of hate in this society because they preach against sin, something the “church” avoids like the plague, and are targeted as hate-filled bigots.

Genesis: 5:5-7 says, “The Lord saw that the wickedness of man was great in the earth, and that every imagination and intention of all human thinking was only evil continually. And the Lord regretted that He had made man on the earth, and He was grieved at heart. So the Lord said, I will destroy, blot out, and wipe away mankind, whom I have created from the face of the ground–not only man, [but] the beasts and the creeping things and the birds of the air–for it grieves Me and makes Me regretful that I have made them.”
Matthew 24:37-39 says, “As were the days of Noah, so will be the coming of the Son of Man. For just as in those days before the flood they were eating and drinking, [men] marrying and [women] being given in marriage, until the [very] day when Noah went into the ark, And they did not know or understand until the flood came and swept them all away–so will be the coming of the Son of Man.” (Amplified Bible)
Satan doesn’t want the rest of the world to know that Jesus is coming back SOON, and worse, to believe in Him.  So he uses sold-out, sinful Hollywood to produce movies like these that paint Noah, other Biblical figures, and Christians in general today as hate-filled bigots in order to discredit them and their message.   Watch the video below of Russell Crowe talking about how Noah was  a heartless killer if you would like an idea of what is in this movie.
My opinion is that apart from discrediting the Holy Word of God, Satan doesn’t want people to realize that our time on earth is just about up.  So he slanders, maligns, discredits, and distorts the truth in whatever way he can to make people think that everything is good in the world and that Christians are a bunch of religious fanatics.  Unfortunately, most people will believe the lie on the big screen, and many will perish and go to hell because of it.
Time is short people.  Repent and be baptized in the name of Jesus Christ for the remission of your sins and receive the gift of the Holy Ghost…,…Save yourselves from this untoward generation. (Acts 2:38-40)
