Ur…of Babylon?

A post on facebook today came across my wall that grabbed my attention. It was a link to an article entitled One World Church Expected This Year. Of course, I had to check it out. It had me going for awhile until I came across “an enthusiastic response from Mother Teresa”. Well, that slowed me down. Mother Teresa has been dead for awhile now. It took reading all the way down to the end of the article to find that the article was written in 1997.

While it is frustrating that people will post these kind of articles without verifying when they were actually written, they can be relevant to what is going on in the world today. Especially considering all the events happening, and the rapidity with which they are taking place. I would urge everyone to read this article because I do believe that there is a one-world religion being implemented, whether it is this year or five years from now. It is in the works.

Which leads me to something that caught my attention when I started reading this article. The name of this new one-world church that they want to institutionalize is called the United Religions Organization – the UR. They refer to this church as UR throughout the article. Well, UR brought to mind the name of the place that God called Abraham out of to bring him to the land that God had set aside for him and his descendants, the Israelites. So, I did a quick google search and came up with something interesting. It was a mere sentence in an article entitled Ur. “Ur became occupied by Babylonians…” Babylon was located only 140 miles from Ur, and Babylon had conquered Ur.

God brought Abram (Abraham) out of Ur, or rather Babylon, to the promised land. Ur was the principal center of worship of the Sumerian moon god Nanna and of his Babylonian equivalent Sin. Polytheistic worship was the norm there, but Abraham worshiped one god and that was Yahwah who we know as the one true God. Yahwah called him out of Ur/Babylon, symbolic of all the religions/gods of the world.

There has been a call for believers in Jesus (Yahushua) to come out of Babylon – the religious system operating in the world today. We are not to partake of the anti-christ’s miserable attempt at religion. We are to worship only one god and that is Yahwah (God).

Revelation 14:2-4
2And he cried mightily with a strong voice, saying, Babylon the great is fallen, is fallen, and is become the habitation of devils, and the hold of every foul spirit, and a cage of every unclean and hateful bird.

3For all nations have drunk of the wine of the wrath of her fornication, and the kings of the earth have committed fornication with her, and the merchants of the earth are waxed rich through the abundance of her delicacies.

4And I heard another voice from heaven, saying, Come out of her, my people, that ye be not partakers of her sins, and that ye receive not of her plagues.

For this new United Religions Organization to be referred to as UR is truly meaningful. Ur represented the church where Abraham worshiped God. Yet, Babylon conquered Ur and God called Abraham out of it.

We have come full circle. The U-R represents the churches in which many of us are worshipping the one true God, and yet spiritual Babylon is conquering the churches of today.

The call is being sounded. As God once called Abraham out of Babylon, He is now calling his remnant of faithful believers out of that same Babylon today.

Will you heed the call?

Preparing For The Underground Church

I came across the following page today. Very sobering and thought provoking. But it should be so much more than that. We need to take a good long hard look at ourselves to determine just how strong our faith is in God. Will we be able to cling to our faith when things get really, really bad? Or will we throw it all away? I urge each and every person who claims to be a Christian to read this.

The Whole Truth

Remember the tag line from the X Files? The Truth Is Out There…? The truth is certainly out there. It does exists, even though it is hard to find at times. Where you find it can sometimes be in the most unexpected places.

Food Inflation Survey

I have been participating in a food inflation survey with As A Mom since the middle of November 2010. They just posted some of the most recent results and I thought I’d share them. It’s rather interesting. Keep in mind that this only covers an 8 week period.

Inflation Study 2010-2011 Analysis Highlights:

‎* 25 of 36 items tracked in the survey (69%) had increases in average price over the course of the study, while 5 items (14%) have remained fairly flat in average price. The average price of 6 items (17%) has trended slightly lower over th…e study.

* All 4 of the Dairy Category items tracked, Milk, Butter, Eggs and Cheese, have shown average price increases of 3.9%, 5.7%, 4.5% and 4.0% respectively over the past 8 weeks.

* Vegetable Oil has shown an 11% increase over the past 8 weeks with the average price increasing from $3.39 to $3.81.

* Toilet paper has shown an average increase in retail price of 6.4%, however, more significant is the large (40.2%) increase in modal price from $5.97 in Week 1 to $9.99 in Week 8.

* Regular Gasoline has increased in price 7.4% from an average of $2.84 in Week 1 of the study to $3.06 in Week 8.

* The Average Total Basket for the items tracked in the study has shown an upward trend over the study to date. The increase from $116.14 to $118.40 indicates a food and energy inflation rate of 1.9% in 8 weeks.

Looks like the inflation experts might be right in that we’re about to be hit with some pretty hefty inflation.

Joy to the world.
